HATHA YOGA

IHT — Institute of the Himalayan Tradition — teaches the ancient, pure, classic form of yoga: Raja Yoga from the Himalayas.  It integrates all aspects of our lives and helps us attain a comfortable body, peaceful mind, and control over both.  This Himalayan Tradition of yoga teaches the four steps of hatha: physical postures, breathing practices, relaxation techniques, and the yogic ethical restraints/spiritual observances.  In our meditation classes we teach the next four classic steps to ultimate self-knowledge.

Wear comfortable, loose clothing and bring your own yoga mat if you wish. Yoga mats are available in the classrooms for students’ use or are for sale in the bookstore.

Our hatha yoga teachers are certified by IHT and registered with the Yoga Alliance, a national registry of training standards.

Each hatha yoga course is sequential for eight weeks; only Gentle Yoga classes, Intermediate II, and Advanced are drop-in for those who wish.

All our Hatha Yoga Classes run for 75 minutes and offer credit hours for teacher training.

Cost: $75.00 for each 8-week course if pre-registered.  $80.00 for walk ins.  $10.00 for each individual 75-minute class.
