Our
Philosophy of Life A
Tranquil Setting The
Program Retreats run from a mini retreat
of a few hours to a ten-day intensive. For those wishing to live at IHT for a
longer time, arrangements need to be made with the main spiritual teachers. Our yoga center provides a rich
learning environment for a holistic lifestyle. Available are yoga classes,
morning and evening prayers and meditation, evening silence, healthful meals,
massage, BETAR relaxation machine, and many seminars in spirituality,
meditation, wellness, philosophy, practical spiritual growth, and cooking.
Participate in as many program as you wish during your stay, or remain alone
in the silence of your solitude, as you wish. Residential
Program Choosing to reside at the
Institute of the Himalayan Tradition opens you to a learning experience of
renewal and insight. In the ashram you will have a chance to redesign your
future while you receive spiritual training and practice yogic discipline. In the tradition of the Himalayan
Sages, the IHT faculty proposes a holistic model of life as a journey to
fulfillment in body, mind, and spirit. Grounded in that vision, our programs
invite residents into a full range of seasonal tasks, practical seminars, and
training sessions that enhance the quality of their daily lives. The disciplined environment of
work, study, and spiritual practice is intended to deepen contact with life
and with one’s own self. Residents are assigned karma yoga by the faculty to
further personal development and help carry out the purpose of the Institute. IHT’s learning environment is
created with:
» simplicity of life
»
beauty of environment
»
discipline of mind. We support this learning by
valuing:
»
emotional clarity
»
visual clarity
»
mental clarity. Call a faculty member for more
